Locating water damage be deceptive as water can penetrate into structural cavities creating trapped pockets of saturation. The detection of water in these areas can often only be discovered with sophisticated moisture detection meters such as Moisture meters and Thermal Imaging. The use of these meters are essential when attempting to confirm and locate damaged areas. They also provide the necessary information to develop a “Plan of Action “ for removal of damaged building materials and proper Structure Drying.
Undetected moisture will continue to cause damage. This damage, at a minimum, will cause odors. Greater damage will surface when materials delaminate, shrink, split and further deteriorate to where costly repairs are required.
